We must win in 2023 for the survival of the people: Siddaramaiah
Assembly elections are coming to April - May 2023, we must win this election. This is the challenge before us. Opposition leader Siddaramaiah has called for the government to come to power, not to win elections, but to win the state and the people here.
Speaking at a congressional think-tank, he said the BJP has come to power through the left wing and has bankrupted the state. Our party has made 6 committees, which need to have a long discussion and make its own decisions and make the party's stance clear.
According to the information available to me, the state government is unable to hold this election or make reservations for women and the backward. Only Congress has this commitment. The BJP does not believe in social justice. Today, the state and the country are in a state of debt. The total debt of the country in 2014-15 was Rs 53 lakh crore. The debt is Rs 155 lakh crore today.
When we came to power, the GDP of the state was Rs 6 lakh crore, and it was Rs 14 lakh crore when we came to power. Growth of -5% in 2020-21. It shows that the state is being sucked into debt and is financially bankrupt.
Petrol, diesel, cooking gas, fertilizers, cement and so on. The reason for this is that the central government is following a wrong economic policy and the state government is following it.
Young people, children and farmers are in trouble because of the mischief of the central and state governments. Religious ideas have been brought to the fore to cover these up. Today, minorities, dalits and backward people live in anxiety.
The attack on the church, mosques, and the mobilization of Hindus against minorities is taking place across the country. Thus the Bharatiya Janata Party has to be removed from power. Those who lacked faith and commitment in the hopes of the Constitution were branded as traitors.
